We are committed to transparency about how Pedal Movement, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Pedal Movement Micromobility, LLC (together, 'Pedal Movement,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our') handles your information. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect and process from users of our Services, and those who communicate with us about our Services, interact with us on social media, attend our events, or are subscribed to our marketing and informational communications (collectively, "Interactions").

The Move mobile application (the "App"), operated in partnership with Joyride Technology Inc.

1. THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information (i) directly from you; (ii) automatically through your use of our Services; and (iii) from third parties. We may combine information collected from these various sources.
Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you provide directly when you:
Register for an account or manage your profile
Access or use the Services, including uploading content
Use a Vehicle
Submit payment information
Sign up to receive alerts or other information via email or text from Pedal Movement
Contact our customer service or technical support team
Interact with us on social media

The specific types of information we may collect directly from you include:
Name
Email address
Phone number
Postal address
Credit card and billing details, including billing address
Payment and transaction history
Communications preferences
Date of birth and government-issued identification (such as a driver's license), where required for Vehicle access
We also collect demographic data you voluntarily provide, including age, gender, preferred language, and general location.
Automatically Collected Information
We collect information automatically as you use our Services, including:
Device and Online Usage. We collect information about the device you use to access the Services (computer, mobile phone, tablet, or other device), including IP address, device identifiers, browser type and language, operating system name and version, referring and exit pages, dates and times of access, features used, session identifiers, and software crash reports. We use cookies, pixels, log files, and similar technologies for this purpose. See Section 5 for more detail.
Location and Vehicle Usage. We automatically collect and store location information from your device and from any Vehicles you use. This includes general location (city, state, or zip code) inferred from your IP address, and — with your permission — your mobile device's precise GPS location. We also collect precise GPS location data from Vehicles, including routes taken, rental duration and start/end times, battery status, and GPS chip identifiers. You can adjust location permissions through your device settings, though some features of the App may be unavailable if you do so.
Analytics. We compile and analyze usage data derived from the Services, including aggregate usage patterns, user preferences, peak demand times, and common routes.
Information From Third-Party Sources
Social Media. When you interact with us on third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube, we may collect information about those interactions based on your settings and the platform's policies. We may also allow you to log into the Services using your social media account credentials; if you do, you will be asked to consent to our access to certain account information.
Referrals. If you participate in a referral program offered through the App, we may collect limited information about referred individuals solely in connection with their use of a referral code.
Other Sources. We may receive information about you from business partners and analytics providers to help us verify or update our records and improve the Services.
2. USE AND PROCESSING OF YOUR INFORMATION

3. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
Technology and Service Providers. We share information with third-party service providers that perform functions on our behalf. These include Joyride Technology Inc. (our App platform provider), as well as providers of hosting, payment processing, push notifications, analytics, customer service, and fraud protection services.
Business Partners. We may share information with partners who jointly sponsor events with us. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before doing so.
General Business Operations. Where necessary for the administration of our business, we may share your information with professionals and their agents performing accounting, record-keeping, legal, tax, or other professional services on our behalf.
Legal Compliance and Protection. We may disclose information when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (i) comply with applicable law or legal process; (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Pedal Movement or our users, including investigating fraud or safety threats; or (iii) address violations of our Terms of Service or other agreements.
Other Users. Certain features of our Services allow you to share content publicly. Information you submit through such features — for example, public comments on social media or in community forums — is not confidential and may be accessed by others. Please use discretion when sharing. To request removal of publicly posted information, contact us as described in Section 13.
Aggregate and Anonymous Data. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — such as usage trend reports — with third parties for research, marketing, and analytics purposes.
Subsidiary. We may share your information between Pedal Movement, Inc. and Pedal Movement Micromobility, LLC. Both entities operate under this Privacy Policy.
Business Transfers. If Pedal Movement is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will comply with applicable legal requirements in such circumstances.
4. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), certain categories of personal information are designated as "sensitive." We collect the following categories of sensitive personal information:
Precise geolocation data — collected from Vehicles and, with your permission, from your mobile device
Government-issued identification — such as a driver's license, where required for Vehicle access
Financial account and payment card data — used solely to process your transactions
We use sensitive personal information only as necessary to provide the Services and as otherwise permitted by applicable law. California residents have the right to request that we limit our use of their sensitive personal information to purposes directly related to providing the Services. See Section 12 for how to exercise this right.
5. USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER ONLINE TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Our Sites, App, and online Services use cookies, web beacons (also known as pixel tags), analytics tools, and similar technologies — some operated by third parties — to record preferences, support functionality, and track performance.
Cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us keep you logged in, personalize your experience, and track usage within our Services. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can modify your browser settings to decline or block them. Doing so may affect the functionality of some features.
Pixel Tags / Web Beacons. These are small, typically invisible graphics embedded in web pages or emails. We and our service providers use them to track page activity, measure email open and click rates, and compile usage statistics.
Analytics Services. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how users interact with our Services. Google Analytics may collect information such as your IP address, visit time, and whether you are a new or returning visitor. Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor Global Privacy Control signals as valid opt-out requests for the sale and sharing of personal information, as required under California law. If your browser or device transmits a GPC signal when you visit our Sites, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Other Do-Not-Track Signals. Beyond GPC (described above), our systems do not currently respond to other browser "Do-Not-Track" requests. You can limit certain tracking through your cookie settings on our Sites and by opting out of third-party ad networks as described in Section 6.
6. ONLINE ADVERTISING
We may work with third-party advertising and measurement services — including Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and others — to display relevant advertising on our Services and on third-party sites, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
These third parties may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and your activity across other websites and applications. Their collection and use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
You can limit interest-based advertising through your device settings:

Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads — it means those ads may be less tailored to your interests.
7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We use technical, physical, and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from lost, stolen, or compromised passwords.
8. RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected — for example, to provide Services, respond to support inquiries, or resolve disputes. We may retain information for longer periods when required by law, or when necessary to establish, protect, or defend legal claims.
9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and may include third-party features such as social media sharing buttons. If you use these links or features, you may disclose information to those third parties. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party websites or services. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, our data practices, the features of our Services, or technology. We will post the revised Policy on our Sites with an updated Effective Date. If we make a material change, we will provide appropriate notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
11. YOUR CHOICES
Marketing Communications. You may opt out of marketing communications from us at any time by updating your communication preferences in your account or by emailing us at marketing@pedalmovement.com. We may continue to send non-promotional communications such as transaction confirmations, payment notices, and important service updates.
Location Data. You can adjust location permissions for the App through your device settings. Disabling location access may limit certain features.
Cookies and Tracking. You may decline or block cookies through your browser settings. You can also limit sharing of your data for advertising purposes by submitting a request as described in Section 12, or by using a Global Privacy Control-enabled browser.
12. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
Right to Know. You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for which it is used, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it (covering the 12-month period prior to your request).
Right to Access. You may request a copy of the specific personal information we hold about you.
Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
Right to Delete. You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (for example, where we are required by law to retain it, or where it is necessary to complete a transaction or resolve a dispute).
Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of certain third-party advertising and analytics tools may constitute "sharing" under California law. You have the right to opt out of this sharing at any time. To do so, click [Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information] [link to be added by web team] or adjust your tracking preferences on our Sites. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-out requests — see Section 5.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. You have the right to request that we limit our use of your sensitive personal information (including precise geolocation, government-issued ID, and financial data) to purposes directly necessary for providing the Services.
Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under this Policy.
Submitting a Request. To exercise any of the rights described above, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days as required by law, with a possible 45-day extension where reasonably necessary. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
Authorized Agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We will require reasonable verification that the agent is authorized to act for you.
Complaints. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may also file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) at https://cppa.ca.gov.
